You must be able to answer “yes” to all statements below:
- I agree to live where CCHFH has land to build (if applying for a new construction).
- I am at least 19 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
- I have resided in Calhoun or Cleburne County for a minimum of one year prior to applying and will show proof of legal residency.
- I am a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
- I am unmarried, cohabiting, or married but not separated. (If married, your spouse must also apply jointly with you.)
- I have not had a bankruptcy discharged in the last two years and have not had more than one bankruptcy.
- I have no liens or judgments that cannot be cleared before closing on the home.
- I have not had a foreclosure finalized in the last two years and owe no deficiency balance from a prior mortgage.
- I do not currently own a livable home or have an existing mortgage balance.
- I do not qualify for a loan through a conventional bank.
- I have no pending criminal cases and no disqualifying criminal history in my household.
- I am not a registered sexual offender and do not have a sexual offender who is or will be living in my home.
- I have been employed in my current job for a minimum of one year. If I have been at my current job for less than one year, I was at my previous job for at least one year and will provide contact information for my previous employer.
- I have had my source of income (SS, SSI, SSDI, TANF, VA, Pension, etc.) for at least 12 months. (if applicable)
- I am self-employed and will show proof of a business license, income tax returns and year-to-date profit loss statement. (if applicable)
- My family size does not exceed six household members (this is to prevent overcrowding based on HUD recommendations regarding square footage per person per home).
- I am the parent/legal guardian for all minors who will be living in the household.
- My total annual household income does not exceed the limit for my family size.
