To continue ongoing efforts supporting local veterans in the communities where we live and work, BAE Systems Platforms & Services donated $6,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Calhoun County (HFHCC) in Anniston, AL. Corporate donations from area defense contractors as well as employee donations will be put to use toward a new Veterans Build home construction, which is to break ground in the fall of 2018. Amanda Pinson, Executive Director for HFHCC said: "We are very appreciative of corporate donations that support our local construction efforts. Habitat is an organization built on faith and hope. We know that safe, decent and affordable shelter plays a critical role in helping families to create a better future." BAE Systems employees in Anniston, AL are planning to lend a hand with the construction during a corporate volunteer day later this year.
